Description: S17MP-R113This opal is from the Mt. Penrhyn deposit, often claimed to have produced some of the hardest and most stable opals found. The deposit hasn’t been worked actively for decades and is on land now deemed by the government such that it will never be worked in the future. This solid crystal in particular can be enjoyed from either side and represents a rare acquisition for any collector.A very nice opal with an incredible play of red, green and gold flashes from a site now lost to us. Both sides of this stone are fantastic! I’m offering this opal from my personal collection. This stone was professionally cut & polished by Gabriella McLeod of Coober Pedy. |
All photography is in it’s original form and has not been enhanced, improved or modified in any way whatsoever.
